Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account data: your email address (or details from Google, Facebook or Apple if you use social sign-in), your name, your club name and your age group preference. Your password is handled by our authentication system and is never visible to us.
• Subscription data: if you subscribe to Pro, payments are processed by Stripe. We see your subscription status but never your card details.
• Coaching data you enter: HockeyReady lets you store squad and player information — names, attendance, skill ratings, notes and optional parent contact details. You choose what to enter.
• Usage data: anonymous analytics events about which features are used, to help us improve the app.
• Support messages: if you contact us via in-app chat or the Contact page, we keep your message and reply so we can help you.

Player data — who is responsible

• You are the data controller for the player information you enter; HockeyReady stores it on your behalf.
• Player data is encrypted in transit and at rest, is visible only to your coach account, and is never shared with third parties.
• Parent name and contact details are optional — only store what you need for your coaching purposes.
• You can delete a player and their development history at any time from the Squad page. If a parent asks for their child's data to be erased, you can action it instantly by deleting the player.
• Because player data may include children's personal information, we recommend telling parents that training and development records are kept using this service.

Cookies and advertising measurement

• Essential cookies keep you signed in and protect the site from bots (including Cloudflare Turnstile). These don't need consent.
• Analytics and advertising cookies are set only if you accept them on our cookie banner. We use the Meta Pixel and the Google Ads tag to measure whether our advertising leads to sign-ups.
• If you choose "Essential only", no advertising or analytics cookies are set and no measurement events fire.
• You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.

Third parties we rely on

• Authentication: Google, Facebook and Apple (social sign-in)
• Billing: Stripe
• Advertising measurement: Meta and Google (consent-gated, see section 3)
• Bot protection: Cloudflare
• Hosting and data storage: our app platform provider

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, delete or give you a copy of your personal information, and you can object to or restrict our processing. Contact us via in-app chat or the Contact page and we will respond within one month. You can also delete your account and its data from within the app at any time. We never charge for these requests.

Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete data or your account, it is removed from our live systems; copies in routine backups expire on the provider's standard schedule.

Children

HockeyReady is a tool for adult coaches. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.

International transfers

Some of our providers process data outside the UK. We use providers that offer appropriate protection for such transfers, such as UK adequacy arrangements or equivalent contractual safeguards.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy; the current version is always on this page with its "last updated" date.
